Reverberations: From New Amsterdam Records

New Amsterdam Records is pleased to announce Reverberations, a new podcast that extends the genre-fluid spirit of NewAm from music to conversation. Hosted by musicologist and performer Majel Connery, the podcast is a series of probing discussions with NewAm's family of musical artists on the connection between life and craft. Each episode is rooted in musical exploration, while ranging freely into the big ideas that drive us and that shape our creative lives.

Reverberations will focus on artists releasing albums with NewAm, providing a deeper exploration of the meaning and motivations behind the music, through Connery’s in-depth interviews with the creative voices behind each record. “I’m not just a fan of New Amsterdam Records and its artists: this is my community,” says Connery. “As a radio person, Reverberations helps me get music I care about in front of the national audience it deserves. As a music nerd, I’m just doing what I do anyway and bringing people along for the ride. I pick the brains of artists I admire, and deconstruct their stories to understand how the music works, and why it matters.”
