Majel Connery: solo Technical rider
As a solo act, I customize performances depending on the school or venue and will happily work with you on duration and scope. I do a combination of performance and talking, incorporating selections from my various song cycles, and speaking about my creative process. Music can involve:
RIVERS ARE OUR BROTHERS : a 25-minute acoustic-electronic song cycle on ecological responsibility told from the perspective of the land.
ELDERFLORA : a 1-hour acoustic-electronic song cycle on the life of a tree, told from the tree’s perspective.
Bio:

She has appeared on Radiolab, Kennedy Center Live, and New Sounds radio. Connery is the host and producer of A Music of Their Own, an interview podcast on women in music on NPR. She has taught at UC Berkeley, Stanford, Wellesley and Princeton, and is currently working with Musicambia teaching songwriting in prisons.
